Wilder Team: Our Current Favorite Games

The top 3 party games we’re currently loving

Games are for everyone. Period. But we’re all different, and the games we like are too. Here’s what the Wilder team is currently recommending.

Casey’s Picks

  1. Catan
I’m all about strategy. It’s hot.
  2. Spikeball
You know what else is hot? Spikeball. It doesn’t get more physical and intense than that.
  3. Tug a war
It’s a zero sum game. Pure. I play with friends, sober, not sober. I even play solo. Just kidding about that last part.

Jordan’s Picks

  1. Quiplash
Any chance to laugh with my friends is the best, and this game guarantees it. Plus, I love the fact that we get to use our phones. We can play without a physical game. Bonus: Covid friendly.
  2. Kanjam
I don’t know about you but I could play frisbee for HOURS. This game is a step up to that.
  3. Bad Aim
I know this might sound biased, but Bad Aim is really a game-changer (no pun intended). It’s the type of game that you look back on and say: “remember when you had to …!” or “I still can’t believe you …”. Now that the rules allow small gatherings, I got two and made it social distancing friendly. A must.

Red’s Picks

  1. Truth Bombs
Lately, I’ve really been into games that are based on getting to know people. Oddly enough, I think it’s even more fun with close friends and family. This game has all the right elements: anonymity, a chance to tease your friends, and so much laughing. 5 stars.
  2. 5 Second Rule
This is a an easy throw-it-in-my-bag kind of game. The best part? I have yet to come across someone who doesn’t get into it. The pressure, the focus… no one ever pulls out their phones waiting for their turn. Super stimulating. Added bonus: play while drinking and you’ll take this game to a whole other level.
  3. 2 Truths 1 Lie
I wasn’t kidding about loving the get-to-know-people games. I recently made the team play this and it was so fun. 100% underrated! You don’t need anything, so you can play whenever with who ever, and you end up finding out weird facts about the people you know because they’re trying to come up with things you wouldn’t know. It’s so fun, so easy and such a classic.

Kat’s Picks

It’s all about the party video games for me.

  1. Mario Party
    Classic.
  2. Overcooked 2
All I have to say is that Overcooked 1 one is no good. Don’t play that one.
  3. Animal Crossing
    On switch, of course.

Believe it or not, this was a hard list to make. We’re always discovering new games and falling in love with new favorites.
